Prof. WANG Kefei

Professor WANG Kefei is a distinguished professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University and a member of the Foreign Language and Literature Committee of the State Council. He is also editor-in-chief of Foreign Language Teaching and Research, a leading journal in the field in China and a director of the Corpus Translation Committee of the China Comparative Study of English and Chinese Association. He is a recipient of the Government Special Allowance awarded by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. He has been invited to visit more than 30 universities and research institutions both home and abroad for academic exchange, research and lectures. He has been appointed as a visiting professor at the International Research Center for Japanese Culture of the Ministry of Education of Japan, a senior research scholar at Lancaster University in the UK, a visiting professor at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, and a part-time professor at many universities in mainland China. His main research areas are linguistics and translation studies. He has been the principal investor for more than 10 national and provincial research projects, including National Social Science Major Projects. He has published more than 120 papers both domestically and internationally, including "The Reception of Western Political Philosophy in Modern China and Japan," "A Study of Translation Culture History," "Bilingual Parallel Corpus: Development and Applications," and "Exploration in Corpus-based Translation Studies."
