Prof. Sara LAVIOSA is Associate Professor of English at the University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’. She has written numerous articles for academic journals (Target; Across Languages and Cultures; Belgian Journal of Linguistics; The Interpreter and Translator Trainer; Linguaculture; MonTI; L2 Journal; Translation Quarterly). She is author of Corpus-based Translation Studies (Rodopi/Brill, 2002) and Translation and Language Education (Routledge, 2014). She is co-author of Textual and Contextual Analysis in Empirical Translation Studies (Springer, 2017) and Guest Editor of Translation in the Language Classroom, Special Issue of The Interpreter and Translator Trainer Vol. 8(1); CTS Spring-cleaning: A Critical Reflection, Special Issue of MonTI (13); and Corpus-based Translation Studies (CBTS), Special Issue of Research in Corpus Linguistics (Fall 2023). She is co-editor of The Routledge Handbook of Translation and Education (2020); The Oxford Handbook of Translation and Social Practices (2021); and Recent Trends in Translation Studies (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2021). She is the founder and Editor of the academic journal Translation and Translanguaging in Multilingual Contexts.
