Keynote Speakers

Professor Hyang-Ok (Jade) Lim (林香玉) received her D.E.S.S. (Diplôme d'études supérieures spécialisées) from Ecole Superieure d'Interpretes et de Traducteurs (ESIT), Paris, France and her Ed.D from Illinois State University. She has been Professor of interpretation and translation at the GSIT, HUFS South Korea since 1993. She served as Chair of the department of English at GSIT, HUFS in 2005, 2009 and 2017. Prof. Lim’s recent book publications include Global Negotiations (HUFS Press) and Building Blocks to Interpretation and Translation (HUFS Press). She has published research articles with International Journal of Bilingualism, FORUM, and Translation and Interpretation. Prof. Lim is also an active member of Member of the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC) and her language combination is A: English, B: Korean and C: French).
