'Workshop on Cantonese Particles' organized by the Linguistic Society of Hong Kong was held at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University on November 18, 2000 (Sat). The morning sessions and the afternoon sessions were mainly devoted to sentence final particles and verbal particles, respectively. Abstracts of all the papers are downloadable from this website freely.

We sincerely hope that we can organize more such kind of workshops in the future so that we can get together to understand and explore various interesting properties of Cantonese grammar informally but seriously, regardless of what theoretical background and training we have.
