MA/PgD in Chinese Language and Literature (MACLL/PgDCLL)

    Applicants can apply for either MACLL or PgDCLL. PgDCLL and MACLL are recognized by the Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government as "Approved Post-graduate Programmes in Subject Knowledge for Chinese Language Teachers" and "Recognized Language Major Degree Programmes (Chinese Language)" respectively.   • Programme Aims:

    The Master of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature (MACLL)/Postgraduate Diploma in Chinese Language and Literature (PgDCLL) programme helps students to learn the basic knowledge of Chinese language, Chinese literature and Chinese culture, and skills necessary for teaching Chinese and to apply what they have learned to their work. The programme is designed to equip participants with the following professional skills:
    • the ability to understand current issues in Chinese linguistics and linguistics theories, and the ability to use reference books and information technology to obtain information needed for Chinese teaching.
    • the ability to understand, analyze and appreciate works in Chinese literature;
    • the ability to appreciate and disseminate Chinese culture traditions
  • Minimum Entrance Requirements:

    A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution.
