The Fifth International Conference on Modern Chinese Grammar will be held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on November 28-30, 2009 and abstracts on any aspect of the grammar of Modern Chinese are invited. Abstracts could be written in Chinese or English and should be limited to one A4 page. Please send 2 hard copies of the abstract (one with the author’s name and affiliation, and one without) to Ms. ZHOU Juan, c/o the Organizing Committee of the Fifth International Conference on Modern Chinese Grammar, at Department of Chinese, Ji’nan University, Guangzhou, P. R. China (Zip code: 510632) by postal mail, and an e-copy to the following e-mail address: jnuzhoujuan@126.com on or before April 15, 2009. Abstract selection is based on anonymous review.
Young scholars may apply for the competitive scholarships provided by the organizing committee. Postgraduate students and recent graduates whose rank is below Associate Professor are eligible to apply. Applicants should submit two hard copies of full paper to the organizing committee (one with the author’s name and contact address, and one without) on or before April 15, 2009.
