Postdoctoral Fellow in Chinese Linguistics


The Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies (CBS) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University has joined forces with Peking University to establish the PolyU PKU Research Centre on Chinese Linguistics. The Centre aims to carry out research on Chinese linguistics, with an emphasis on the study and application of modern Chinese language. We are now calling for applications to recruit outstanding researchers for the post of Postdoctoral Fellow in Chinese linguistics.

An application must be made by the Principle Investigator (PI) under whose guidance the applicant intends to work, in the form of a research project proposal. Applicants are required to fill in the enclosed Form HR7A and attach their CV with the applications. In their CVs, applicants should select up to five of their most representative research output items and provide a full list of publications/other research output items for the consideration of the committee/panel concerned.

Applicants are expected to have a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification with less than three years of post qualification experience at the time of application. Preference will be given to those with good English proficiency and a track record of publications. Salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application. The appointment period is twenty four months.
